I have spent countless hours and quite frankly a good bit of money restoring a 1969 Chevelle SS. I went to Miracle Workers and spoke with the owner and he assured me he would provide a quality job with special attention to detail. Instead what I really got was one of the poorest shows of quality and workmanship ethics and the feeling of having been taken advantage of lied to and misled.
From wavy door bottoms to dirt in the paint to no clear...too much clear bent/distorted rocker panels with only a trace of paint and already showing signs of rust after just 30 days and doors that are of different color than the rest of the car. This was such a disappointing episode in the history I have with this car.
To be berrated by this owner for calling and asking what the status of my car was...this was during the second time he had it for his "warranty" that he had said existed. At that point he had been paid in full..(did I mention he ruined wheel well opening chrome trim and drip rail molding chrome I had provided for installation) and to say to me...I'm working on it and I don't want you down here and I will have it towed to your home when I'm done with it.
He has disregarded any attempt by the "BBB" to contact him. (Current rating...F). I have estimates that are upwards of 3K to repair what this place did to my car. Do yourself a favor...keep browsing if your looking to have something painted. This place is a nightmare.
Update..Miracle Workers Settles in Court.
Amazing…Lets re-cap the morning events of Dec 1st 2009. Miracle Workers chooses to “Settle”. Now the word “Settle” could mean a couple of different things but keep reading and I think…well maybe Miracle Workers will catch on. Judgement was for the Plaintiff (that was me). The Defendant (Miracle Workers) the loser. And now, it’s “Public Record” (that means anyone can look at it by accessing court records. No secret)
Now “Restitution” (that means Miracle Workers has to make it up to us because what they did was crooked…it happens) is due every month, by the 25th, in my mail box (don’t be late or it’ll get worse for you) When their attorney (Miracle Workers apparently felt they needed one) approached us and asked that the blogging stop…we acknowledged. But not so Miracle Workers could say anything in a blog to try and clear the mud surrounding their business practices and work ethics, but to consider it a closed issue or “Settled” (see where that fits in?) I was good with that.
But on Dec. 2nd, the day after court, Miracle Workers once again shows what their business ethic is made of. ($2000.00?) I have paid receipts and cancelled checks from Miracle Workers for $4600.00, and another $400.00 in Chrome that they ruined trying to install. The car needed final paint. All the panels were new. Miracle Workers screwed up the doors/distorted the Rocker panels after saying they had some issues and totally botched the paint job.
The bottom line here is that as a consumer, I got ripped-off by Miracle Workers. The B+ rating is only because he finally responded to the BBB with the same lies as they posted in this and other blogs. (BBB has all the details however, just ask) and it’s only been since Dec. 3rd.
The Restitution I was awarded by the court probably means a whole lot more to Miracle Workers than it does to me based on how long it’s going to take them to pay it back to us. I have Pictures, paid receipts, copies of cancelled checks from Miracle Workers and it’s all going to be scanned in and posted online.
Merry Christmas.
