After being stuck with magazines I didn't want for four years, I thought I had finally finished with the account. They kept calling me, even after I asked them not to. Then, somehow, I ended up with more magazine subscriptions.

I called to cancel the account on 7/18/06 at 2:23 pm CST. They said that I would still be responsible for the money owed ($524) since I had "verified" these subscriptions with a supervisor. I said that I never agreed to a four year committment.

They said that it didn't matter if I had a contract or not, since I had "verified" it already. I told them to cancel the subscriptions and not to bill my credit card for any more payments. I called my credit card to stop them from making any more charges, but they said that they can't stop any payments in advance.
