I worked for pretige sales usa as a "sales agent " and I never claimed to be from any sort of school, charity, or any type of organization like that. I told people where I really was from and what I was really gonna do with the money I made. It is true that we were encouraged by our managers and junior managers to lie to people and say we lived in the neighborhood because it was supposed to make them trust us more easily.
I also worked with "DJ" but he went by an alias "Mike Pittman" and Prestige was called Integrity Sales. I was a rather trusted employee that when I no Longer wished to work for this company was stranded all the way across the country from my home state. I believe that people should know that most of these kids dont want to lie to you, but believe me when I say they really dont have any other option. They are made to work very long hours filled with stress about their sales and verbally berated when or if their sales are low. These kids are only doing what they feel they have to do to survive. Most of the kids I knew are still there and have been for years but they have no where else to go so if they do happen to knock on your door just ask them if there is anything you can do to help them. I know that is what I will always do since working in this form of modern day slavery.

Exact same sales pitch, including other tactics listed in other reports for Prestige Sales (like offering to do chores around my house after the sale was complete, selling stuff so he can go to London for a college BBC 6-week visit with his University of Houston journalism class, his mom is going to have everything express delivered, etc). This little punk (Jordan Wyatt supposedly of Phoenix, AZ, late teens/early 20s, pimple-faced, dirty finger nails, etc) went one step further with the military lies and claimed to have been in the Army Reserves, having served in Iraq recently at Camp Liberty and had returned home because he had been "wounded".... He also claimed he had been demoted from E-4 (Sergeant) to E-3 for underage drinking.
Unfortunately, I found his story to be very compelling and found myself having what I thought to be an innocent conversation about all sorts of things like past military service, what I do for a living, my young daughter, and even seemingly benign information like the names of both of my dogs, which may come in handy during a burglary attempt. And, yes, I was dumb enough to even let him in my kitchen when he asked if he could come in to "fill out the order form." He was very smooth and convincing and normally I don't trust anyone, let alone a complete stranger. Hindsight is definitely 20/20 and I found myself finding inconsistencies in his stories as soon as he left. My fiance and I began discussing what had just happened (she didn't see him face-to-face) and she couldn't believe I had let a complete stranger into our house, regardless of what he was "selling."
I immediately jumped on my computer and looked up his "mother's" last name in our local county tax database, querying the street he claimed they lived on in our subdivision. Nothing to be found there. So I begain Googling "Prestige Sales" and found this posting. I thought I was going to throw up. This story was almost verbatim of what the kid had just told me.
I called our local Constable (Police) and informed them of what was going on. I went outside to see if he was still on our street and he was. He was still going door to door for a few more houses until he noticed me following him. He then started walking at a faster pace and started turning up and down different streets, trying to find a way out of our subdivision. I proceeded to follow him throughout our neighborhood, all the while updating the Constable's dispatch of our location. The deputies arrived and found me chasing the kid on foot down the street outside our subdivision and immediately stopped him.
He was questioned and searched by the Constable (who had actually served in Iraq), who proceeded to tell him he was a disgrace for peddling his crap using a "wounded in combat" story. He persistently tried to convince the deputy that he had been wounded in Iraq and even pulled up his shirt to show him a scar of some sort. He even managed to produce what appeared to be a geniune military ID and claimed he was in the Air Force, not the Army as previously stated, and was a SP (Security Police/Forces). The deputy ran his Phoenix, AZ license (with the name Jordan Wyatt) and, unfortunately, didn't find anything warrants or criminal history. The deputy recovered the check I had written him and gave it back to me on-scene, along with the "order" form that had been filled out. The kid pleaded that he needed a copy of the order form back, which still had my personal information, or his "boss" (ie handler) was going to charge him $200. The deputy then tried contacting the kid's handler on some 800-number the the kid provided. The deputy got a hold of someone that was supposedly going to pick the kid up and then told me to rip up the order form in front of them. I ripped up a piece of the order form that didn't have any personal information and threw it down the gutter next to us. I never gave a copy back to the kid and shredded everything else when I got home.
I told the kid he should find a more honest living. The deputy let him go and he started walking down the street. The handler was supposedly going to pick him up to take him back to whatever local hotel they were staying at. The deputy told me to let my Home Owner's Association know what was going on because even though our subdivision has signage stating "No Soliciting" there wasn't anything legally he could do the kid.
This is exactly why society is going down the crapper and why Girl Scouts can't sell cookies door-to-door anymore. Stay away from Prestige Sales and don't ever let any stranger into your house!!! I hope this is the end of my story...

Listen, the guy that wrote the rebuttal about me is stupid if he seriously thought I was there to rob him!!! I made plenty of money just from the books and magazines I sold, I cleared 52k last year. The company is definately legitimate and legal in everything they do, you get the product you pay for just what I told you to get you to buy might not have been the truth. People don't buy this stuff because they need it they bought it because they liked ME. I did my job well, and refuse to regret anything I did while I was on the road. I no longer work for the company because I am going to college now, and my course of study is Religion with a minor in Mass Communications/ Journalism. Hmm.. wonder where I got that idea from? I'm sorry I lied to you buddy but thats no reason to go and make up stuff about my appearance and who I am just to make yourself feel better!!! And yes that was a REAL USAF ID, I was in the military man, all the personal stuff I disclosed to you was the truth, just the whole reason I was at your door was the lie, you honestly would not have even heard me out if I had hit you with some sales pitch about the NCA contest I was in, you would have shut the door in my face like 95 percent of the rest of America. Thats why we lied and told you we're your neighbor, so you would actually talk to us and give us a fighting chance to present you with our product!!
