They called me around March 2010, with these promising offers of $100 gas card vouchers for magazine subscriptions (I originally thought it was CRC Magazines doing a follow-up call, so I thought nothing of it). They sweet talked me into giving them my debit card number for a $39.95/month deal for around several magazines. I started getting magazines I wasn't even interested in, and around May 20 they charged $49.95 alongside the usual $39.95. That's when I got suspicious, after they would call the house monthly asking about the magazines and trying to get me to authorize bigger debits to 'pay the entire balance.'

Since I don't own a car, the lady offered to take the balance down to around $500 (I still declined, and they continued to bill me $39.95/month). At that time, I continued to get magazines I never wanted, and when I tried to call their number listed on my bank statement I would get a busy signal or a 'sorry, this number has been disconnected). And on the off chance that I did, they'd refuse to lower my payments or cancel the service altogether. Then I read the Ripoff report on this company, and canceled my debit card in late August.

And lo and behold, I receive a statement from this company saying that a 'payment of $998.75 will pay your entire balance.' What a crock. I've sent a letter requesting a subscription cancellation and threatened legal action if they don't.

#1 Ex-Employee

its all true

AUTHOR: denana7756 - guadalupe (United States of America)

i use to work for this company and during the year i worked here i prolly seen 300 employees come and go from this place. there best employees were people out of jail and needing a job. there highest salers were people on drugs. i litterally went to work crying all the time. but seeing how i needed a job there was not much i could do. i was told by a supervisor maybe i should take some pills before work to mellow me out. and the worst part is all these people you know ex druggies and thiefs have  the peoples info. all your credit info is gight there for the taking long with your three digit code on the back. this vcompany only cares about there money. and yep they loved the old ladys because they knew they were buyers. and what old lady doesnt like a discount and cheap travel??? and the sales person would talk fast and slick and the person on the phone would be none the wiser when they got all those charges.
