Readers Choice, Your Full-Service Magazine Company RIP OFF RIP OFF. Cancelled my subscription but STILL TOOK THE MONEY San Luis San Luis Obispo California

I subscribed to the magazine in Feb this year and was informed that I had seven days in which I could unsubscribe. I rang the VERY NEXT DAY to cancel it as with some thought I decided it wasnt for me. I was assured by the customer service representative that no payments would be taken from my visa AT ALL. I was also told that if I wanted I could call back again in 24 hours to re-confirm my cancellation. Which I did. So that was TWICE in 48 hours that I rang and was ASSURED that NO payments would be taken and that it was cancelled on their system.

So, reassured that it was taken care of I thought no more about it so you can IMAGINE my shock and OUTRAGE when I saw a payment being taken off my visa. I again rang the company to complain and was AGAIN reassured that it was taken care of and no other action was necessary. AGAIN the next month a payment was taken. At this stage I had lost complete confidence in the abilities of the staff and company. I emailed the company to voice my outrage and requested someone call me to sort out this problem IMMEDITELY.

I heard nothing. I emailed AGAIN strongly requesting someone to call me otherwise I would have to handle the situation myself. I then rang my bank and explained my situation to them and explained how I had cancelled this subscription several times and had sent emails and I was getting nowhere. So I was forced to cancel my credit card so no further money would be taken.

This situation is absolutely ridiculous and has caused me a considerable amount of inconvenience and stress. I had never in my life absconded from a bill or payment or responsibility of any sort and to continually have this come up as theyve sent it to a debt collection agency now, has seriously caused me a great deal of pain and suffering. If the company cant hire competent staff who can handle a simple request of a cancellation then it should not be in business.

It is a TOTAL SCAM and I advise anyone who reads this to BEWARE of this service as they will rip you off and continue to do so even when youve cancelled it. It feels like a deal with the devil and I wish Id never joined.
