Universal Subscription Agency ripoff Las Vegas Nevada

To the people that made a rebuttal to this company must have blinders on!

Here is my story....

On July 7th 2005 a young man (Jose Arroyo)came to my door selling magazine subscriptions from USA and told me he was trying to win a trip to Cancun. I believed him. I ordered a 2 year subscription of (17 Magazine) for my daughter.

I then informed this young man that I had no funds in my checking acct until the next week when I got paid. He told me they(USA)would not cash my check for 3 wks. Again (I believed him)and in my own stupidity after he left I realized I should have post dated the check.

Anyway the very next day he cashed it and my bank sent me a notice in the mail saying I owed money to them for the over draft of $72.00. I was shocked to discover this young man lied to me. When all was said and done I owed
the bank $147.00. Now mind ye on the copy of my order it gives ye a deadline to cancel the subscription which I did due to my daughter had relocated to another state and I come to find out that they (USA) go by the post mark on the envelope and not the yellow copy, and so I have been waiting for the magazine's to start arriving (November 2005). I have yet to recieve any and it's now March 2006.

I finally called USA and they tell me that the address that they were given was in another town (Erieville, NY 13061). It clearly shows on my check the town and zip code (Watertown,NY 13601). Now I am convinced that it was delibratly done on purpose and the reason I believe this is because the same day that young man was at my house he was also at my mother in-laws and the same thing was done to her and we have the same town and zip on our personal checks!

I am going to our local News 10 and telling them about this and to also warn the residents of Watertown that this is just a scam and not to open they'er doors to these kids!
