Who's Who Registry of Academic Excellence, American Who's Who Association has ceased operations without fulfilling orders or refunding money. Washington DC

On March 25 2009, I received an email from American Who's Who Association that stated that my daughter's biography was accepted for the 2008-2009 National Edition of Who's Who Registry of Academic Excellence. Attached was the completed bio and an order form. I did not place an order at that time.

On May 6, 2009, I received an email from American Who's Who Association that stated that I could purchase the book at 40% off. I placed an order online for the hard-cover book plus I submitted a photo for an additional charge.

On October 1, 2009, I received an email from American Who's Who Association that stated the book was at the printing press and will begin shipping in early December and will conclude in early January 2010. I have not received the book or any other communication from American Who's Who Association.

On March 9, 2010 I called American Who's Who Association to inquire as to why we have not received our order. I waited on the phone while the voice message repeated that the next available operator will be with me shortly. No one ever answered the phone. I then went to their website and found only this message: "Due to the current economic conditions that persist today, AWWA has ceased operations. We are working to fulfill all outstanding orders at this time. Please check our website periodically for further updates."

I don't know how long that message has been posted on their website but I would have appreciated being informed of the situation and given a date to expect my order. It has been one year since this originated. It’s time for some answers.

Mr. Adam Camp, many of us are affected by today’s economic conditions but I feel that is no excuse for your inability to deliver to the children who have their hearts set on this honor. I expect to hear from you within 10 days or I will be contacting the Attorney General in Washington DC. It's unfortunate but my daughter is going to learn first hand how to handle companies like yours.
