My mother and I were shopping for books for college. We went in Kampus Books and looked. Then my mother asked the manager about something and instictively in my mind i wished she hadn't. He found out we were comparing prices with Barnes & Nobles and said we couldn't do that in his store. My mother reacted, and he asked us to leave the store. My mother said, "If you didn't know we were comparing prices, we could still be looking." That, of course, was an agreeable statement.

A Reminder

AUTHOR: Jay - Nacogdoches (USA)

I have been a customer of Kampus Books for last few semesters and I just happen to see this negative comment while surfing the web. I could not ignore the fact that Kampus Books has had the best services and prices for the last few semesters that I have been dealing with them. Their business is more than just about selling books because there has been a situation where they did not have a book that I was looking for and they referred me to another bookstores. Now how you as a customer complaining that Kampus Books is a rip off strikes me strangely, if you were really a fair person you should not have been sneaky about it, and instead openly asked him if they were competitive against Barnes and Noble. Because we need them to be around and provide services to students, do not give up on them give them another chance they are good people I am sure they will work with you. There's Something Else Going On Here

AUTHOR: Helene - Elgin (U.S.A.)

When I went shopping for textbooks, I compared prices at our local bookstores and I have never been thrown out of any of them.

I even took in lists to the book stores and had no trouble. Clerks came up to me and offered to help me but I was never asked to leave.

So I think there was something more going on here than what was stated in the posting based on my experience in loss prevention.
