Over a month ago I made one of the worst decisions of my life when I ordered a supposed complete collection of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." The
website made it appear as if these characters were a reputable organization, with an emphasis on customer service. The "AHP" set was advertised as
having all "456 episodes on 37 DVD's for a sale price of $119.95.

Well, who wouldn't consider that a bargain price? I jumped on it and two days after that I was told it was shipped. After six weeks, nothing had arrived and I was already learning that the "all e-mails will be answered within 48 hours" banner they had next to their "contact us" box was a complete and utter joke.

FINALLY, someone actually contacted me and said that it had been sent from their warehouse that week. What I didn't know was that the warehouse was in China and all the episodes appear as if they were secretly dubbed by Chinese agents during the 50's and 60's, when the show was originally broadcast.

But that wasn't the worst of it. I was certainly looking forward to seeing some long-time favorites, but there was no episode list at all and I realized that I'd have to scroll through the menu of all 37 DVD's (that part was the truth--someone must have slipped) to see what was where. I was surprised to find that instead of beginning in 1954 as it should have, the first episode was from 1957 and there was no logic at all to the sequence which followed.

To fulfill the much-touted "456" episodes, each DVD would have to contain either 12 or 13 episodes, so I was surprised to find only 8 episodes on the first DVD. There were only 8 on the second volume as well, and the third and the fourth, but then, every one of the remaining 33 DVD's in the set had exactly FOUR episodes each, for a grand total of 194. That's 292 episodes short of a combination platter and no doubt it might take some people a long time to realize that they've been screwed by these clowns, especially if they didn't go through each and every menu the moment they received this shoddy piece of excrement.

For the past two weeks, I've sent an e-mail a day. In my early messages, I asked for some explanation and never received a word back. I then just requested a return for refund and a domestic address, but still not a word.

Lately I just send them a complaint a day out of habit. I've never had a problem like this since I first started ordering products on-line over eight years ago. Their virtually non-existent "customer service" department has
flown the coop now that the sting has been made. I write all this to hopefully dissuade anyone who might even be contemplating making a purchase from tvdvdboxsets. Their operation has to be the biggest scam on the web! I'm going to do everything I can to bring about their downfall!!
