Well I was just shafted big-time by E-Trade Canada. I had a hundred dollar balance in my trading account, and they took $25 for a 'low activity fee'. Seeing that, I decided I would never fund that trading account again and requested a cheque for the remaining $75.

What I got was a cheque for $15...they had deducted a $50 fee just for closing the account; and a $10 fee simply for sending the cheque!

In other words, those @$%# just "removed" $85 out of $100 from my account in the space of a week. For nothing but me wanting to close the account and get my money back.

I called them and they would do nothing. I have never been treated so badly by any company. They deserve to go out of business.
