I called Barefoot Bathtubs and got a decent price for David to come and re-enamel my bathtub.

He answered my first call promptly.  When I made a second call to let him know that a previous owner had also refinished my tub, he answered that promptly too.

He showed up on time the day we scheduled and he completed the job in the time he said it would take. 

When he was done, I pointed out a wrinkle in the enamel paint.  He said I should not worry about that, because when it dries it would just "fall off" or rub off with my thumb.  I also pointed out that it did not seem smooth, but he suggested that this too would not be a problem when it dried.

It has been about a week now.  The wrinkle in the paint looks as bad as it did when wet.  My wife likes to take baths and she reports that the finish is not smooth and has little prickles and bumps that annoy her.

The tub looks better than it did before, but this bumpy texture and the wrinkle in the paint are not what I consider acceptable.  This seems like poor quality.

Since this time I accidentally dropped something in the tub and it scratched the enamel.  I called David and he answered my call promptly.  I asked if he could help me with the scratches, and he agreed to stop by on the weekend to give me a little bit of primer and enamel to cover the scratches with.

He said he would call before arriving.  He neither called nor arrived all weekend.  I tried calling him on Sunday but he did not answer.  I left a message with my number asking him to get return my call but he has not called back since.

I have tried calling him several times since then from my cell phone and work phone.  Every time it goes to voicemail.

I have given up trying to reach him.
