I have completed 2 jobs for Bob, and he has collected money from the home owners but has not paid me yet!!!
I have been trying to get my money ($3,700) for over 6 weeks, it's always tommorow
as of 3/17/08 he has told me "tommorow" again!!!
Well, there's always a chance, if not it's time to go legal
if he pays me i'll update

What business is he affiliated with now? All indications I have found, (including the worthless BBB) state that United Roofing/Builders/ Exteriors have been out of business since August/2007.
Did they open under a new name, or is Bob doing his own thing, or working for someone else? Do yourself a favor and cut your losses. I'm sure you've been in the business long enough to know what's going on here.
There is a chance you will be paid if it is a reputable company. At least he is communicating with you. If all else fails, I would suggest that you visit him in person and have a one on one conversation with him.

he was working privately, no name
i only got involved becouse i knew the home owners but worked through bob
so i finished the electrical work and he collected the money from the owners but did not pay me
he has since dissappeared and his phones are shut off
it's now been one year and i have not received a single penny from bob
