David Stepherson, Stone Construction And Mas. They ran with my money and never finish the job. Ripoff Creasent Georgia

I hired David Stephenson on 29 Oct 2006 to build a car port with storage area and repair some sheet rock in the master bed room and also to build a deck. We made agreement on the price and signed a contract. After a week the priced changed. The total price was $6200.00. I paid in cash to David Stephenson on the 1 Nov. 2006. He agreed he wouldn't take longer than 3 weeks to 4 to finish the entire job. Week 7 came and still most of the work hasn't been started and I would see him less. Day after day it got harder to get in contact with him and his workers. On the middle of Nov. the deck was up but not completely finish and the sheet rock was half finished. I was unable to contact him to see when the job would be completed for the next month. I finally got in touch with him for a brief moment and told him I wanted the difference for the work he has done. He assured me he was going to finish the job, but still I wanted my money. He told me he would cut me a check and I would receive it in Dec. before the holiday after he talk with his so call lawyer. I soon found out David Stephenson also has multiple bankruptcies’ and that he was trying to file one during the same time he was working for me. Not only that but a local realtor was taking him to court for not completing a job. I have yet to hear from him or his lawyer.
