I paid the builder to install a concrete driveway and sidewalk with fiber-fill concrete, as well as install a retaining wall, finish a gravel driveway and do some miscellaneous siding and soffit work.

After the concrete work was essentially complete, I paid the concrete bill in full, and a deposit on the remaining work. The builder was to come back 3 days later to cut joints in the concrete.

After the builder left, I noticed that one of his employees had damaged the side of my brand new garage building with an excavator, and had also run into the side of my motorhome (high-end coach).

The builder never came back to cut the joints, and predictably, the concrete cracked through in about 12 places. Once I had complained to the builder's cousin, also a contractor, the builder came and cut the concrete, which didn't really do any good, since the damage was done. The builder called me back and accused me of driving on the concrete, which was a false statement. The builder then would not return my calls, and did not finish the remainder of the work. The total amount that I am owed is over $8,000, not including the garage and motorhome damage, which could easily double that amount.
