I work at a company in the Netherlands (3D capacity) who got ripped off by Jose Carlos Sanz Perales and his associate Alfredo Hernandez.

We were naive and foolish enough not to check the sources on time since these guys were referred to us by a partner company, but from the start he was a bit too full of himself and it made me doubt that he was as "big" as he pictured himself... what I didn't imagine is that he would turn out to be a the complete flop it was after all.

He approached us in order to develop some work for a mega construction project, for which he had us working round the clock for a whole week, before we figured out that he was all smoke and mirrors.

His lies went as far as claiming that his project (revolving around a set of skyscrapers) had actually won the competition for the new World Trade center towers in NYC (as he was a personal friend of ex-mayor Giulliani) but that he refused to take the plans any further.
He also claims to be the personal friend of many world leaders, to have been the vice-president of a major bank in Spain (yet he will never tell you which one) and to be the head of a consortium with over 300 companies...

But he was traveling on his own with his communications director (aficionado webmaster would probably be a more suited term) Alfredo, and a credit card in which he claimed to have a limit of over a million dollars... yet when it came to paying his hotel bills, we were told by the hotel clerk that the card reached his true limit of barely over 1500 euro.

He and his partner ended up spending a few days in a local police department of The Hague (NL) after we called the authorities on them and they had to be escorted out of the hotel... and all of this without a single peep from his "team of lawyers" with which he will threaten you at the slightest chance of a skeptical look and a demand for references.
