Kraus-Anderson Contruction Krause-Anderson Leaves Beacon Pointe Condominiums in Duluth Poorly Built and Unfinished Minneapolis, Minnesota

We moved into a new condominium complex in Duluth, Minnesota in June of 2008. Kraus- Anderson was the general contractor for the two building project. The developer, Beacon Point LLC, went bankrupt last spring and the unsold units have been turned over to Republic Bank.
 The buildings are unfinished and poorly constructed. Owners still have items on their original punch lists that were never completed by Krause Anderson. Exterior areas of the building that are not finished include a wall that is covered in raw plywood and exposed foam insulation along the edge of the decks and patio.
The first winter, pipes broke causing flooding in two areas  in our building dues to lack of insulation in the walls and ceiling. Recent testing determined that many other areas of interior and exterior walls and the roof have no or inadequate insulation. This defect was found in both our buildings and the Beacon Pointe Resort building  next door that is part of this complex.
 Water leaks through walls in the underground parking garage. Owners have already had to pay for reconstruction of a below ground party room do to water damage and mold.
 Periodic sewer line blockages continue to occur, causing raw sewage to back up into an owner’s home. 
Kraus-Anderson has refused to come back and finish or fix the buildings
