I wouldn't be writing this report about John Ottman if I had not discovered that he is still ripping people off. I told him several months ago to not let me catch him doing to others what he did to me or I would write about him.

The problem with John is he will never learn to not rip people off. He wants a job done for nothing. He likes to low ball for the job and keep enough to pay for that house, even if he has to short people what he owes them, right John.

He's been doing this in the Philipines for a long time, and around the US for quite a while.

Our first contact with John was a request from him for an estimate on an interior for a shoe store. All interior work, drywall, drop ceiling, and painting. A very easy estimate. It took all of 30 minutes to complete, if he would not have kept calling me with other "little favors" he called them.

In about four days time I put in voer 30 hours running down local prices for a false front for one of his stores, plus three other shoe stores. I submitted my estimate and my hours. His response to me was, my price and hours were ridiculous. The total came to just under $700. Cheap for a freelance estimator.

Local companies here would have charged him over $1500 for what he got. His badgering pissed me off so much that I asked for my costs of $70 to pay my phone bill and told him to forget the whole thing, as I had discovered his rippoff by doing some background checking on him.

Rippoff is not the only place his name is in as a bad business to deal with. There are several construction administrations that have him black-balled from doing business in there area.

I told him that I would drop this unless I heard of him ripping people off again. Well, he did just that, or at least he tried. I spoke to a long time family friend today and learned that John has skipped out on paying an entire crew for completing a job that I have seen pictures of. Very good job guys, by the way.

There will be more added to this post as soon as those guys hear from me as to where to post to. I will let them tell their story. This event did take place awhile ago, but I just found out about it.

John, I warned you. You were messing with the wrong person. These guys you ripped off are really angry. I wouldn't doubt if they show up on your door step. Oh yes, I forgot, nobody is supposed to know where you actually live. But guess what? It only cost these guys $9.95 to find out, even with your alias.

PS. They will not show up without the police and they do have records of you Not paying the money you owe them.
