Platero, LLC Carlos Platero, CP Style & Design, Carlos Platero ASID-Contractor, Architect, Platero, LLC Interior Design Deceptive Trade Practices, Bait and Switch and theft Austin, Texas

Carlos Platero owner of Platero, LLC was hired to provide Architectural design, interior design, project management and to act as the contractor for the extensive 2 phase remodel of our home.  The first phase was the remodel of a 750 sq. ft. pool house scheduled to begin on or around December 1, 2010 and finish on or by February 1, 2011.  His work was defective from the beginning, using untrained, unskilled labor to cut corners, there was a total lack of supervision causing multiple delays and costly mistakes resulting in having the work torn out and re-done three times before we eventually fired Platero, LLC from the project on May 10, 2011.  Platero took a check from us to pay for all our high-end appliances for phase 2 of the project and once we canceled his contract he refused to return the monies or provide the appliances and refused any further contact.  He walked away with a check in the amount of $43290.79 and has no intention of returning our money.

Platero, LLC engaged in bait and switch sales practices, telling us we could have something done for one price, then charging double and triple when billed.

Engaged in deceptive trade practices and claimed that his services were of a certain quality or standard when they were not.  Claimed to be licenced or certified to provide services that he was not trained to provide such as design, Architectural design and project management.

Not only am I the victim of unfair and misleading business practices, thieft and inferior workmanship there are many other people in the Austin, Texas area being ripped off by this company and he should be stopped.
