ROCK TOPS WAS ACCREDITED BY THE BBB TWO MONTHS BEFORE GOING BANKRUPT Macomb Michigan

The BBB accredited Rock Tops with a Satisfactory Report after Rock Tops had 42 complaints filed with the BBB. The BBB is a huge rip-off. Give them 300 dollars and they will accredit anybody. Numerous granite people and customers urged the BBB not to back Rock Tops, but they still did. The BBB took away the good rating that they gave to Rock Tops 2 days after they closed. The BBB knew what kind of business Rock Tops was yet gave them a satisfactory record because they paid the dues of 300 dollars a year.

First I dont want to say I disagree. But, I know how the BBB and the ripoff report works. If there is a complaint for lets say Rock Tops. Rock Tops will receive a copy of the complaint and they have a time period to state their side or try and resolve. Depending on the situation typically if the proves their innocents or plan to resolve the situation then the complaint is considered satisfied.
And again not defending this company but if they had 42 complaints in one year with as many stores as they had thats really not that bad. The employees must of made up for the company owners faults.

I am also an ex-employee with enough foresight to leave a long time ago. To be accredited costs about $1000 a year, not $300. Rocktops had most of the 42 complaints in less than a year, and most of them came when only 5-7 were open! You sound much like the BBB did when I called them about this.
So I simply asked the BBB, if I had 100 complaints and just kept opening business', then I would have a satisfactory rating also.....RIGHT? They would minimize the number of complaints, and I my business would be satisfactory.....RIGHT? They were at a loss for words. Low and behold 3 months later the doors were locked. Very bad business! Rocktops was shady at best.
