This guy has a real spiel--claims 2.5 inches asphalt compacted to 2", actually base gravel is showing through in many places. Cracking, separating. He had originally placed gravel (6 truckloads) at $450 a truckload -commpacted on a new drive--actually, the drive already had a lot of gravel there, he added some--and filled another part in with dirt and sand from the construction of the house. Resulted in getting stuck in spring. I question if he even added 2 loads as I was not home. I just figured soft from spring rains--my mistake
He said would bring additional truckloads to fix, and I traded him a work truck for his brother for 2 loads--never got the gravel and his brother junked the truck. At the same time I contracted to have him pave part of our drive. Before he did work, needed down payment to get seasonal lower price--I helped him out with $2500 advance--then had to beg him to come do the work--when he came--gave me price for whole drive. I agreed as it made sense to do it all, then to help him out, convinced neighbor to have work done also--my drive is over 400 ft long--first it is not straight, second, very thin (have base gravel coming through along with weeds growing through)--had called him several times--said would fix. He did say the weeds are growing through because hot asphalt is like hot house for plants and that gravel was on surface from roller (What a lie)--THEN tried to talk me into seal coating it for $1500. I could have it done for less than $600 if it were solid enough to do. When told him no, needed to be fixed, I never heard from again. I was lucky to contact him to complain the first time--never has phone that works.
Still 1.5 years later--it is a falling apart mess. Contacted another company--they stated would need to tear all of it up first to do it right.
My mistake was to trust someone at his word--don't make the same mistake..STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!!!
