Russell Lynn Jones RL Jones Construction, General Contractor/Scam Artist - Pretty sure he scams customers for a living Addison, Texas

Russell L. Jones is a Crook!  This man underbid my buildout job in order to hook me.  He then asked for 1/2 of the money down before the job started (1st Red Flag).  I was very naive in my dealings with this guy.  

It took him a month to get the building permit from the City of Irving (should have only taken a week).  Then come to find out, the check that he wrote the city BOUNCED.  Thats right, after paying this man 1/2 of the entire job, he didnt even have the money to pay the permit fee.  He did not start my construction job until almost a month after the contract was signed.  He went Missing in Action.  He continuously asked for money and I stupidly gave him more in hopes of getting this job done.  

The thing is, this job wasn't even a big one.  1000 sq. ft office buildout.  Small potates.  I honestly dont even think that this guy knows anything about construction.  I think his deal is that he goes around bidding on jobs and thats how he makes his money.  His subcontractor worked for like 2 days at my site and quit because he wasnt paid.  Subcontractor called my landlord asking for money because Russell Jones couldnt be reached.    

This guy had every excuse in the book.  He even had his "girlfriend" call me to ask me if I had heard from him, because she couldnt find him either.  Haha.  This guy is a piece of work.  His excuses ranged from "I have a toothache" to "Im in court", to "I was in jail".  Give me a break.  This guy is incompetent and is a thief.  

Buyer beware.  This guy will take you for your hard earned money and will then stall and then disappear.  After scamming me, he quickly changed his phone number, changed his website address, and changed his company name from RL Jones Construction to RL Jones remodeling.  

I had a PI do a background check on him (should have done one before I hired him) and found out that this guy has been sued a bunch, most likely for doing this same type of thing to others.  If this guy tries to do business with you.   RUN!!!!!!!!!!!
