Servicemagic contacted my husband, a brick mason and concrete contractor, to become a member of their company.  They promised leads to jobs, for a price, of course.  My husband told them he did not want to be involved with Servicemagic.  We felt it was obviously a scam and they were only in business to make money off of contractors and unsuspecting customers. 

Months later, I was googling our business name and found that Servicemagic was reporting our business on their website as an "unapproved member of Servicemagic".  When I called the company, the representative told me that it was only listed that way because we were not registered with their company.  I responded that half the country is not registered with their company, but those businesses aren't listed with derogatory information.  He said the information will be removed within 24-48 hours.  We'll see if they can live up to that expectation.
