I hired TriCounty Contracting for $16000 to remodel my kitchen, add soffits, and new bath vanities. They demolished the kitchen 2 days late, left it that way for a week than told me I needed to pay more money after the 50% down, in order to have the kitchen cabinets delivered. It took weeks for him to deliver them, and even demanded more money before they would deliver the rest of them. Then demanded payment in full before the granite was delivered, even though the back splash, paint, electrical, and plumbing were not done. I have emails from him documenting all of this. I arrive on Dec 20th and the cabinets were in, not finished, but at least the doors were in. I took pictures and adjusted the doors to work properly. The day after we left, they broke into the unit, despite my orders to not return without permission, and took the doors back to his office and stole our Xbox 360 and video games. He then demanded $2000 more, even though I was paid in full. That is extorssion. I paid it to get the doors back and returned to change the locks on the 29th. The electric and many other items were still not done. I have pictures. He knew I had someone coming into the unit for an entire month on the following monday and just did not send the electrician and trim guy to finish. I had to hire other contractors to finish the work. No permits were pulled and we are filing a suit against him. Anyone who wants to join, please contact me at (((ROR redacted)))
Please do not hire this guy from any company name. You will not be happy. More likely you will be so frustrated that you too will want to take the time to write one of these. It takes a lot to make me do this and to suit someone across the country. He went WAY past that limit.
