My experiences with ADT/Broadview security systems are repugnant. I changed my phone service from Comcast to AT&T two weeks ago and I now have DSL. My ADT monitoring and alarm service does not work with the phone unless it is filtered. Do you think that they would send me a filter so I could have protection? NO BUT they will sell me one since it is my fault the system doesn't work. They offered me one at half price. About $30.00 and refused to ship overnight even if I paid for it. They refuse to care that my property is unprotected, and they will not offer a credit for the time the system is down. This company is just another example of what's wrong with the ethics in America and if you have a choice--skip ADT because they do not care about customers as much as they care about their bottom line.

Why would you expect them to offer a credit for the down time? They're still providing the service. You chose to make changes that created the incompatibility, not ADT.

You can purchase a DSL filter at almost any computer/electronics store as well as Office Max. They usually go for about $12.
If YOU were that concerned about your own stuff, you'd go buy one yourself and then debate with them later.

My set up packet from AT&T contained several filters. Some for telephone, some for internet and some doubles with both on same filter. Another option you may want to check into is seeing if ADT can go wireless. That way your alarm system would still work if someone cut your phone line.
