I purchased roofing materials for $584 and asked if there was any problem returning material and associate said "no", but of course didn't volunteer that there was a 10% restocking fee for products.

After getting to jobsite and learning that the materials cost a few hundred dollars more than they should have I made 1 phone call to ABC roofing supply and found the same products for approximately $215 less.

I went and purchased the products from ABC and returned the products to Mueller and then learned of the restock fee of 10%; which is excessive in my opinion. I could understand 3-5%, but not 10% for products that were not special order.

Lesson learned for me, but I wanted to file a complaint so other people avoid using Mueller Roofing supply in the future because they over charge for products.

They do have a wonderful display (excessive) of hunting taxidermy through out their showroom though... so I think I understand where the money that they over charge the public customer goes too.

Mueller Roofing making it right!

I am happy to report that Mueller Roofing is making right on the situation.  After filing a report with the BBB; a Mueller Roofing VP contacted me today and they are making it right.  I wanted to let everyone know and I appreciate the follow up service.

Just to add....They also have unappreciated and underpaid employees and use the laying off threat to make their employees do extra work. They also have a couple managers there that have strong opinions about other races and treat customers differently because of their race. The worst part is these are to people who are in charge at the Lockland store. Also the main office is across the street so if you are a customer needing to complain and you are not satisfied with the managers at that store, you can speak with someone there.
