Pella Corp. Pella Corp. Concealed the Deception in Wood Species-- Solid Douglas fir -v- Veneered Pella, Iowa

We purchased Pella Architect Double Hung Douglas Fir windows.  They were delivered Octover 22, 2009. We paid over $32,000.00. 

The windows were not Douglas Fir.  They are only pine with Douglas Fir veneer.  We were never told anything about veneered.  We made it clear that we were willing to pay the extra money for Douglas Fir, because it would last our lifetime. 

The windows also have over 100 items wrong with the order. Pella has not yet done anything to rectify these manufacturing mistakes.  

We got a letter from Pella that states that double hung windows are all designed to let air flow freely in and out.  Pella states that this is a function of the windows.  

We would never have ordered from Pella if we knew that the windows were not solid Douglas Fir or that they would leak air, by design.  We are in a bind now because we would like to get into our home.  It is winter in Iowa.  

Pella has concealed the truth from us.
