Met this company at fair in Long Grove Village, where they had a booth at a weekend festival.  Sales rep promised a 750 dollar rebate from gas company.  Problem is, my gas company does not participate.  The sales rep at the booth or the person that came out to do the bid should know what gas companies participate--how would I know that mine does not?  While on one level, I should have checked with my gas company first (this did seem too good to be true) but I did not.

As for the install, they arrived with 19 bales on insulation--what the person who estimated the job should have used.  they left with FIVE of them.  Nice way to save 25% on materials.

Also, I was promised a box installed around door of attic to hold insulation in the attic.  What was installed was 1/4'' foam board TAPED around door.  Flimsy, and not functional; it was crushed on first trip up attic.

When calling to get issue resolved, nothing but the runaround.  Very nice people on the phone, but no resolution.  I got voicemail from National Sales manager stating that it was a 'northshore gas' program and I should have known my company was not participating.  

I was never given the name of the program, and I was not given the paperwork for the rebate until I requested it after the install, where it clearly states what companies participate.

How difficult would it be to ASK the customer WHO PROVIDES YOUR SERVICE?

these guys operate with the scruples of the classic 'tin men' used car salesmen home improvement scum.  I will take this company to court, and they will pay for my attorney in addition to the refund.  

I hope they have a booth there next year.  Seriously.
