America's Choice Readers Service Advertised it was free then the price went higher and higher refused to cancel sent us threatening letters lied ripoff no integrity! Great Falls Montana

Told us we could get magazines for free. Then changed it to we'd have to pay for shipping charges. Next it was $12 for a year - enrolled us in the "good deal" for magazines of our choice delivered to our mailbox for only $12 a year - $1 per month! They started taking payments out of our credit card that they said they would not charge, only use for verification. I actually got them to stop charging our card. Then we started receiving bills. The first one was for $35; second month we got another bill for $35. I called to cancel the membership based on the fact that they told us it would only be $12 for the year! They told me I missed the time I had to cancel the membership. The only time I could cancel it was within 3 days of agreeing to having it. So I said, you mean to tell me there's no way to cancel this? What I have it for life?! They said yes. I've never paid one bill or accepted any magazines. They come in the mail, I write "REFUSED" on it and stick it back in my mailbox. I've called them and written to them with requests to cancel. They still will not cancel. Now the balance is up to over $400 in less than one year. Today I called to tell them I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They don't care. They still won't cancel, and they sent me to collections!
