Rip-off Report’s investigation of DirectBuy uncovers an ongoing commitment to total client satisfaction. The Rip-Off Report Investigation revealed a demonstrated commitment by DirectBuy to providing excellent customer service and resolving customer issues. They achieve this through several means, including a recent partnership with customer service experts to actively survey their members and guests and make changes that improve their processes and ensure a uniform exceptional experience for every customer. To address the most common concerns, DirectBuy recently started offering free trial memberships at participating club locations, as well as additional tiers and terms of membership to meet a broader range of household budgets.

The policy is there to protect the manufacturers. It ensures their confidential pricing cannot be used by non-members to negotiate better deals with retail stores, thereby protecting the best possible pricing to members. The policy has not changed, but as stated above, new tiers and terms of membership are being offered at participating club locations

Shame on you Glenn Beck for selling out to Direct Buy's ripoff scheme of charging people for something they could just as easily get themselves. So many people in this country trust you - and you should be ashamed for not checking into this scam and seeing it for what it is - a ripoff. I used to love to listen to you, but since you started selling out to these types of advertisers, I just don't trust you anymore.

As a public figure, you have a responsibility to check out what you are peddling on your program. I keep hearing you say you feel so lucky to be here in this country, and I simply cannot believe you - of all people - would fall for something like this.

I have been a member of Direct buy for over 15 years and have saved 1000'S of dollars just about everything in my house came from them. The only people who dont seem to like it are those who did not join due to the rules or those who could not change thier shopping habits to save money. Yes you have to wait and order from catalogs but the saving can be worth it unless you need it now. So pehaps Mr Beck did check it out and saw they have over 200000 happy members and have been around for over 20 years thats a long time for a rip off.

Savings?

I keep hearing people saying "I've saved thousands" yet none of the numbers I see (and I've compared with a friends valid membership) shows any savings whatsoever. Instead of stating things in generalities, back up statements with facts. If this company was on the up and up, you should be able to compare prices without signing a contract. Their methods remind me of the schemes used to sign up people for timeshare. I would challenge anyone to provide a Direct Buy price and truly compare what you can get something for locally. I've not seen Direct Buy win one single time!

Maybe Just Not For Me

After talking with a few friends and associates, I have determined that this company is just not for me personally. Research on my part indicates that perhaps someone purchasing large amounts of merchandise might benefit from their offerings, I don't have massive needs like someone building or remodeling a home. (Which seems to be the theme when looking at the complaints against this organization.) I'm the one off flat screen buyer, all of my material needs were met long ago and my house doesn't need lots of "things". The other recurring theme seems to revolve around buyers remorse, which I don't have because I never allowed myself to be put into this situation.

As with any and all offerings, you should investigate it fully for yourself and actually do the math to see if the program benefits you and your personal needs - and make a decision that is best for you and your situation. This may be the perfect solution for someone, I just do not believe it is the right one for me.

I dont have a problem with Direct Buy either

Its pretty simple - the products they offer really are less than you find in stores - when you buy it at Direct Buy you get it for less
