SMART SAVINGS CENTER ordered a $.25 movie with a small shipping charge, no contract signed, no movie received, only a $12 monthly charge Boca Raton Florida

I was looking for a specific movie, googled the name of it and this company came up with having it in stock. I placed the order with my American Express card for a less than a $10 amount.

Smart Savings then kept sending me e-mails saying the movie was out of stock but I would receive it when it came back into stock. I tried to cancel it and there was no place to cancel.

The next month I noticed a $12 charge on my AX statement and called them.

They told me I signed on for the monthly fee which I clearly did not (I check everything and would never sign on for something like that) and there was nothing stating you had to join their so-called club.

I thought I got that cleared up with them and the charge taken care of but the next month June 2009 I was billed another $12.

This time I talked to a supervisor and told them I never signed on etc.

She said they would see about giving me a $12 credit but not a 2 month credit, only one.

I was livid. Why should I pay for something I did not sign on for let alone be continuously charged a monthly $12 FOR WHAT???

Again, I contacted them this morning about crediting the additional $12 and the customer service person said and I told him I now read the rip off reports from other people and what they are doing is fraudulent. He did not care but I did.

I then took the information to American Express and they are taking care of it from here on out.
