I signed up for AT&T uverse TV and internet package online. When the day arrived for my installer to come hook up my service I recieved a confirmation call. The installer called me and told me she was running late. That was fine
I was okay with that. She arrived about an hour and a half late around 3:20pm. She left my house to check on the box 45mins later she returned and said she wasn't recieving a signal and had to call a ticket in. At about six o'clock a coworker showed up to correct the problem. After another 45mins I was told my house is to far away to get service.
So, I ended up wasting the better half of my day off for nothing. The websight clearly states that I was in the service area. They company should have to pay my reconnect fees to my former provider for there incompetence. I believe that would be a fair remedy of this situation. Thanks for reading

Or maybe AT&T can expand service to your location. Obviously they thought they were set in your area or they wouldn't have sent a tech.
They do have a choice right now, they can either get you hooked up or pay another provider to hook you up. If they are able to hook you up you're entitled to a free service at least temporarily.
If they do nothing then you were certainly ripped off.

I called Uverse customer service and explained to the rep what happened. She asked me why I disconnected my cable before the installers came out to do the work. I told her that the website clearly stated that I was in the service area. Furthermore, I did not see the need for paying for a partial month of service with my former provider.
Her reply was that the service is not guaranteed that I should have waited until the service was hooked up. I was also told I could not recieve credit for reconnect fees to my former provider. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor told me they would not pay reconnect
fees or credit me in any way. This situation is unacceptable I'm not asking for that much just the price I have to pay to reconnect my old service. I think that is a fair compromise. I filed a complaint with the BBB so hopefully they can help. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
