now we have the new era of change.

Tell that to comcast!@! Just yesterday they flooded my email with a rejected outgoing message that took up over 300 pages!! Their usual answer?? We will look into it and that could take anywhere from 48 - 72 hours.

Why then when I am one second late in paying their bill does all three (yes, I am that stupid) services (cable, internet and phone) go IMMEDIATELY off ??

The real funny, sickly ironic part of this is that I DO get a call from customer service but not in reference to this ( I am still waiting for that - already 36 hours later) but to a comment I made saying that thier tv guide is now generic so if I want to use their expensive DVR to record programs, it would be good to know what it was that I was recording!! Their reply?? It is not us - it must be the stations. Inconceivable since it is THEIR listings but what the heck - we are all idiots, right????

Late Payment

Why then when I am one second late in paying their bill does all three (yes, I am that stupid) services (cable, internet and phone) go IMMEDIATELY off ??

One second late and services go off ? Well being an employee with Comcast, I know for a fact that the Atlanta Market of Comcast give you exactly 47 days to pay your bill, which most companies only give you a grace period of two weeks, some 30 days before late fees and servies are cut off. On day 48, two things happen, 1) You are charged a late fee, 2) Services are electronically interupted thru the automated system. Day 60 of being late, a non pay disconnect work order is also automatically generated that in turn is sent to the field to have a tech roll out to first try to collect the past due amount, then if not successful, then disconnecting services.

So your comment that you were one second late means you were late 48 days and one second then your services were interupted, unless of course there was an outage in your area which had nothing what so ever to do with your bill.

How funny is this!!  This response is to something I posted on line almost exactly ONE YEAR AGO!!  (Not that anything positive has changed).  Yet check this out:

 the very next day after this comment my services are shut off ( I know I am an idiot to still be with them but they have no competition yet ).  When I call them (which I despise) I get the answer that I have an outstanding balance.  This balance btw is bc  they never credited me for movies rented that they gave to me FOR FREE for all the problems I had with them and then proceeded to charge me $5.99 X (well., - u get the picture)

SO!!!!  Not only is her answer ridiculous but once again it was shut off within 24 hours of her comment.  No coincidence here.  They are really miserable people to deal with.

You seem to be confused or maybe just disgruntled.  I speak to people like you on a daily bases, seems to be allot of people out there who want Comcast's services but don't want to pay for them.  Thing is Comcast doesn't want to interupt their customers services so they actually employ people to call people when they are past due over a month to say "Hey this is the amount due, you have these different options to pay that and as long as you pay this much by this time you will not loose service".   I believe the reason you think you loose service "the second your late" is because you are constantly late and the only time you make a payment is when you are close to the shut off date so you make the payment for the minimum.  In this case you need to make the payments around the same time each month because you are in a constant state of delinquency.
