Cox Communications is unethical and uses illegal business practices.  I have had the same cable and internet services with them for the past year.  The first few months were fine, then my monthly bill began to rise each month (even though I never made changes to my service).  Everytime I called them about these suspicious "extra" charges, I would have to argue with them, speak to a "supervisor" who would then remove these "extra" charges.  My bill would be fine for a month or two and then these charges would appear again.  Finally today was the last straw when my "normal" $79 bill rose to $94.  I was forced to call them again and argue and was told that the "special" I had been receiving had ended.  When I signed up for my services, I was NEVER told that the "special" would end after so many months.  As a matter of fact, I asked if my bill would remain the same throughout my 2 year contract and was told "yes" and that "the bill won't change unless you add or drop services" (and I didn't).  

Shame on you Cox Communications for being so unethical!!!  To all you consumers thinking of going with Cox Communications-- DON'T!!!  THEY ARE RIPOFFS, DISHONEST, A SCAM, AND UNETHICAL LIARS!!!  They also mislead their customers so that they sign a contract and then they add fraudulent "extra" charges to your bill each month and remove specials they promised.  When I was with DirecTV the only downside was that they had less HD channels, but my bill always remained at $45 per month throughout my 2 year contract.  My biggest mistake was switching to Cox.  AGAIN...  DO NOT GO WITH COX COMMUNICATIONS***YOU WILL REGRET IT***TAKE YOUR WALLET AND RUN THE OTHER WAY***
