Verizon FIOS Bait and Switch Tampa, Florida

To entice me to unsubscribe from DirecTV and sign up for the FIOS package, the Verizon telpehone representative told me that Verizon would include the following, among others, in my television programming package: NHL CenterIce, the NBA ticket, the MLS ticket and the MLB ticket.

I asked this representative whether the NFL RedZone was included and he said no, this would require an additional charge. I was surprised by the offer and asked at least three times whether I correctly understood. He repeatedly confirmed. This constituted the primary motivation for my decision to drop DirecTV and go with Verizon, even though I had already made a $40 payment to DirecTV for NHL Center Ice.

After Verizon finished activating my service, I discovered that none of the promised sports programming was available to me. I called Verizon and was informed that they could not provide what was promised. I was told that the representative misled me and that he might be disciplined for his mistake but that Verizon would not honor his commitment on its behalf.
