Camera Giants GIANT SCAM ARTISTS! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! BUYER BEWARE! New York New York

After extensive research and comparison shopping, I was thrilled to have found a VERY INEXPENSIVE Powershot SX110 camera online. I placed an order and provided all of my credit card information. The website seemed very legitimate. Later I received a suspicious e-mail telling me to call Peter S. (probably not his name) because he needed further information to complete my order.

When I called Camera Giants and dialed "Peter's" extension, I was told the camera I ordered only used rechargeable batteries and that I would need to purchase a rechargeable battery pack for $60. Having done all of the research, something just did not sound right to me. It wasn't so much that I did not trust him. It was really just that I was confused. What he was telling me was different from the information I had come across in my research of the camera. Besides, I had never heard of a camera that ONLY used rechargeable batteries. Then I did the unimaginable: I innocently asked, "really?"

The VERY VERY RUDE guy then abruptly said, "Why the hell are you asking me the same question? I just told you you need this!" So then he immediately followed that with, "YOUR ORDER IS CANCELLED." and he hung up on me!

I called the next day to speak with a manager at extension #4. When I told the manager what happened, he then went on to say, "Well, why would you ask the same question again anyway? Your order IS cancelled!" He then hung up on me too! I could not believe it.

CAMERA GIANTS is doing all it can to trick customers into buying unnecessary accessories. IF YOU GET THAT E-MAIL FROM THEM SAYING THEY NEED FURTHER INFORMATION TO COMPLETE YOUR ORDER, BE VERY AFRAID.
It's the classic BAIT AND SWITCH. But the really offensive part is just how incredibly rude they are if you don't fall for their scam! If you are on to them they rudely dismiss you!

Now I'm worried because they have my credit card information!

I THINK I WILL REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!

STAY AWAY FROM CAMERA GIANTS.

NO SUCH THING AS CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE.
