I ordered a Panasonic HDC TM90 vedio camera around Jan 2, 2012 from their website for $389.99 plus a small case for $19.99. I didn't received an invoice. Then on Jan 4 they sent me an email asking me to call them to verify my info. I did. Then the guy said I didn't order an extra battery and he told me the original battery could only last 20min. I was kind of doubted and he also wanted to sell me filters. I agreed to buy a battery for $66. Then he said he could give me a holiday package which was the same price, and the package included a 4 hour battery and a large case. And the final price is $528. I said great. Then I realized there must be some errors in the final price. How come does an additional battery $66 and a bigger case cost me $100 more (at that time I thought there was at lease $20 difference). I emailed him and asked for a confirmation but no confirmation agiain. Then I called him again and he said there was a 6% insurance. I accepted his explanation.
Jan 6 I received the package. In addition to the camera, there is a large case which is $50 on the website. Another Starter Kit which is $20 on the website. But NO extra battery. So I ended up paying extra ($528- $389- $19 =) $120 for the $70 items (Case and a Starter Kit). I don't really need the big case and the kit. And the original battery can last 3hrs.
I am from Canada. I need to pay shipping and handling insurance for another $60. Finally I paid &75 GST and broker fees. So for the $410 worth of items, I ended up paying $665. I could even buy a camera of this kind in Canada store with a lower price.
I found other two people had very similar reports on the website. I'll try to complain to CC comany to try my luck.
