Digi-Key Digi-Key Corporation Purchased a bnc connector package that said QTYof 100 in the description but they SENT ONE ITEM and Charged $24 for USPS shipping for an item that weighs less then an OZ !!! Thief River Falls, Minnesota

I was looking for a Mini Coaxial BNC connector to replace damaged ones on a RGBHV cable. I found Digi-Key via google search. They had several entries for this connector, in the description is mentions a QTY of 100 for each order. Elsewhere Ive found that connector for $.35 to $.49 cents each so a quantity of 100 for $12 was a great price, so I thought.
I ordered via my credit card and selected standard UPS shipping.
The item arrived, in a 12in x 12in x 1 in box.
Apparently it had been shipped EXPRESS USPS.
I opened the box to discover A SINGLE BNC CONNNECTOR. The invoice inside stated $12.86 and on my credit card I was billed $38, $24 for SHIPPING!!!!!!
I called to see what the problem was and I was informed that the QTY. listed in the description is the quantity THEY BUY THEM IN....??!?!?!? What?
I also asked about why I was charged $24 to ship a SINGLE, less then an oz, connector, and they said it was shipped USPS EXPRESS which costs $24. The sales person on the phone was less then polite and rudely said that I selected USPS express...which Indeed I did NOT, on MY screen. Perhaps their system has a bug and says otherwise but this was not an item I needed rushed, but enough benefit of the doubt.
Their Misleading descriptions, and apparently RIDICULOUS Pricing makes them a NO GO EVER AGAIN. If paying $12 for a single connector, IT BETTER BE MADE IN THE USA! But no...China, and the lack of quality shows.
Do yourself a favor, PAY LESS, and get LESS hassle elsewhere.

I read your complaint against Digi-Key. I had the pleasure of working with Digikey for nearly 30 years now. I can attest that they are the best of breed when it comes to customer service, employee care, and delivery of what is promised. They give new enhanced meaning to Minnesota Nice! I suspect you were acting inappropriately with them, otherwise they would of bent over backwards to make things right with you EVEN if you were completely wrong!

I have been providing A/V consulting, installation, and Production services for well over 10 years. I've been using online vendors for longer then that.
The price was gouged. I called politely and believed there was just a simple mixup. Unfortunately no, there was not a mixup, just overly expensive shipping costs and unclear description(s) on their site (at the time, things may have changed).
You would also acknowledge that most of their products are from Chinese manufacturers, and those manufacturers can be found online and you realize the markup is SUBSTANTIAL.
You speak more like a employee of the company then an actual customer.
My story is real, Im a level headed Small business owner, I speak with respect and to the point. Those facts had no change or effect to the outcome of my experience. You say they strive to achieve customer service yet I posted this report days after attempting to resolve the issue and they still have not replied.
