I bought a Sanyo VPC-s1275 camera at Wal Mart.  When you set up a shot, it gives a dead battery message and shuts down.  This is with a new battery, tested on a volt meter.  Try to get technical support or a refund.  Wal Mart said it is after 60 days.  Panasonic literature said it is after 90 days.  The camera was not used for over 90 days after purchase.  Sanyo seems to offer a locator for repair shops but the search on Sanyo website gives "no result" for the Houston area.  The literature gives no address to return the camera but says you must get that from a technical assistant.  The technical assistant says the camera is out of warranty.  It costs around $100.
