I attempted to order a Canon SD 870 IS digital camera from The Digital Nerds on September 20, 2007. I scanned their ad very carefully looking for any language that indicated that their merchandise was refurbished or used and found none. To be on the safe side, I called to place the order on the phone & asked if the camera was brand new in the box or refurbished, and was told it was refurbished. I challenged the person I talked to to show me on the web where that was stated, & he disconnected me.

I called back an hour later and the same person answered the phone. When I again asked if the Canon SD 870 IS was new or refurbished, he told me they were sold out and unavailable.
