I purchased a digital camera for my 14 year old son and thought the extended warranty might be a good idea for him. Tiger direct was supposed to handle the warranty for the first 30 days. After that the manufacturer warranteed it for the first year with the standard warranty and then the extended warranty kicked in for years 2 and 3.
Well the camera worked for about 30 minutes and just died. I sent it back to Tiger Direct right away and they informed me when they got it that they couldn't fix it and had no more in stock.
They then refunded my visa for the price of the camera (119 dollars) but not the extended warranty, which was about 30 some dollars. They also stated in their agreement they would pay the shipping for the return but didn't. I don't even think I got reimbursed for the sales tax.
I then sent 2 emails to their customer service, but never received a reply. Previous to this I bought parts to build 2 computers from them, but no more.
