Wawadigital.net, starlight Cameras Ripoff shady order confirmation Brooklyn, New York City New York

After placing an order for the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, the site instructed to call to confirm order. However, a message was received indicating to call back during normal business hours, which I was already doing. Therefore, I left my phone number and requested a return call.

A few hours later, I received a call from what sounded like the same person whose voicee was on the company's message. He was pleasant until I requested he cancel my order. He asked why I was cancelling, and I stated I had already made another online purchase due to the fact I could not confim my order within a reasonable amount of time.

He said my order would be cancelled, and he abruptly hung up on me. Of course, my concern is that this company has my credit card information, and I have no real way of knowing what will happen. However, I have already sent notification to my bank concerning this "shady" business. Hopefully, I have covered myself from any fraud.

Unfortunately, I did not find any information about this company on the Better Business Bureau Web site, which I explored prior to placing my order. It was after I placed my order that I saw the reports on this Web site. At least I found something online to make me aware of a possible fraud situation.

Unfortunately, this does not make me very comfortable about placing online orders.
