Wells Fargo Bank Harrassing me to pay a debt My ex-wife is responisable for! Las Vegas Nevada

Wells Fargo started Harrasing me for a debt my Ex-wife owes.She purchased a Hot Tub from a company in California and Wells Fargo lends money to the consumer for this company.She purchased the Hot Tub May 2005.We have been divorced over 3 years . She lost her job and stopped paying payments and then they started calling me and said my name was on the account.

I explained to them each time they called that I had never applied for a loan with Wells Fargo.They continued to call several times daily for about 2 months.I ask them how I could have signed a contract with them and was told that the person who signed for the hot tub upon delivery would be the responsible party.I found the bill of laden after searching for about a month and faxed it to Donald St. John at Wells fargo Loss prevention debt. and also sent a copy of our separation agreement thats states she was to take the hot tub and would be responsible for the debt.

She was the only one to sign the bill of laden dated 5/19/05. After all this trouble that I went through, they claim I am responsible for the debt.They then turned it in to the Equifax credit reporting and already damaged my credit.I have had excellent credit in the past until they provided false information to Equifax.

I have requested from Donald St. John at Wells Fargo to send me a copy of a contract that I signed or any evidence he has that would prove I was responsible for this debt that my Ex-wife owes.She has the hot tub at her residence and she applied for credit with Wells Fargo.

I dont't know if she applied by phone or on-line but I know I wasn't involved, and told her when she said she was going to buy a hot tub she would have to get on her on.She deserted one month later and then filed for divorce.She hired someone to come and get the hot tub. What can I do about this situation. This is causing me extreme anguish because I have never had bad credit and good credit is very important.I can"t believe a company can be this dishonest!
