Americredit Americredit Lied to me Dallas Texas

Americredit lied to me. I was 1 month behind and before when I was behind I would call and set up arrangements or pay online and that was fine. This time happened in May 2007. I called Americredit and told them I would pay on the 26th which was the last Saturday in May online and they assured me that it was okay and that they would work with me. They asked why I was late and I told them my husband was suspended from his job for 2 weeks and I was in school and not working and it put us behind. My payments were only $460.00 a month and I only owed 8 more payments when this occurred so I was assured that I can pay on the 26th. Well that Sunday, May 20th before that set up payment. Americredit had a tow company from over 100 miles from my house pick up my car after midnight. I woke up to go to school and my car was GONE. I was scared I called the police who informed me it was repossessed. I took my husband's car to school and after school drove to the tow company. They would not let me get my stuff out of my car and they had it bagged up. Americredit wanted over $3000 up front for me to get my car back or within 10 days. There was no way. So they sold my car at auction in June and said I owe $6500 more to pay it off. If you figure $460.00 times 8 does not equalt $6500 but only $3680 so I don't think I should pay the whole $6500 but only the $3680 because they got about $2500 at auction so really I only owe $1180 by my calculations. I will never do business with them again.
