I gave atx auto credit 500 dollars drove the chevy malibu off the lot before I got it home it started getting hot. He told me not to drive the car if it ran hot, as if he knew. The next day it did the same thing ran hot. I took the car back for re pair. He said he repaired it, that was day 3. Day 4 I picked the car up from dealer it ran hot again and the power window in back stopped working. No air conditioning Day 5 I took it back and ask for my 500 dollars back, he said no. I left the car there and he filed a repo. to the credit people. I returned the car. Ruined my credit.

I'm not sure what you expected to happen. It doesn't matter whether they come and get the vehicle or if you leave it at the dealer, it's still a repossesion. Since you didn't fulfill the finance contract (as your signature promised you would), you defaulted on the loan.
Now that you're aware that you can't just decide to give back a car with no consequences, maybe next time you'll be a little more careful about choosing the car that represents a large financial commitment. If you don't bother having the car checked out by a mechanic BEFORE you buy it, you're just rolling the dice with your money and your credit.

Without regard to the obvious problems you had with this car, you signed a contract to make each and every payment on time...period! Turning the car in like YOU did, is the equivalent of a repo just as if they took the car in the middle of the night. So if there's any blaming to be done on the credit report issue, that blame rests entirely on YOU because YOU gave up the car. But let's get beyond that for a moment. You have a choice to make: will you learn something from this or will you continue to blame everybody else? Apparently your credit was trashed before this event otherwise you wouldn't be using a subprime dealership. The other possibility is you have no credit. Credit payment obligations are to be treated with the same importance as avoiding death. There are ZERO exenuating circumstances for missing payments other than your death! If you don't have the money then you get a part time job and earn it on weekends. Secondly, when you buy a used car, even if your credit becomes good enough for bank financing, you always have the car checked out by a mechanic you pay for that service. Since you said the overheating issue happened the first day, did you even take this car for a test drive?
Don't be surprised if they sue you for the rest of the contracted amount. Its done everyday. The fact that the car had problems is not a valid defense.
