So you signed a legal agreement that stated in exchange for them loaning you several thousand dollars to purchase a car, you would make set payments on a specific date each and every month.  You admit you are a little late every month(by the way 3 weeks is not a "little" late).  Then you are upset at them for trying to contact you?

If you want another entity to complain to here is what you can do.  Go look in a mirror and complain to the person you see looking back at you.  Because that person is the one who is causing them to call.  You see once you pay your loan ON-TIME you don't have to worry about them calling you for payments.

By the way the threats to take your car is not an idle threat.  They have a security interest in the car as such they have the right to reposess it, there is no minimum time you have to be late.  So if you are continually late, and start to complain, they may just figure that you are not worth the hassle and repossess the car the next time you are a "little" late.  This is also no different than any other bank would do.

She knows what is expected of Her and Her Obligations. Here in a Nut Shell: Chase Auto is the Worst of the Worst. These People are exactly the ones that Dave Ramsey calls "Scum". And it amazes Me all the Goody Two Shoes People that are not behind on their bills and no nothing about the other peoples situation entirely try to lecture them. If Chase calls and I tell them, "No" I can Not pay today, and I tell them I will pay on a certain Date, and If that is not acceptable, that they must have to have that 200 Dollars right now, they can come and get the Car, hang up the phone, and they call back 3-4 more times the same Day, Would You not call that Harassment?? You can Preach to Us about Contracts, One Day Late, etc etc. ITS HARASSMENT!!!!THE WORST FINANCE COMPANY THERE IS, BARR NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy Your Employment with the SOB'S. Sound like You fit into their Business Model good. They like People like You. 

If you loaned money to someone Ray, you'd be after them too if they didn't do what they said they were going to do...pay you on a certain date.

Of course its harrassment!  This is a SUB PRIME lender and most of those guys deal with people who are late all the time.  The solution to this is to PAY ON TIME!  If someone doesn't have the money, then they need to get a part time job or work at night to get the money.  No, it isn't easy but that's what being an adult is all about.  You sign contracts and you live up to your end of the deal.  Do people have lifetime events which put them into money problems?  Of course.  But the adult finds a way to solve them...like I said, getting an additional job to get more money coming in.  And just in case you want to discredit me...I've been a sub prime borrower.  I've been sued for non payment of bills.  I've owed thousands and thousands.  But I've also took a look at my sorry life and decided to do something about it like earning more money to pay off those bills.  At one time I had a full time job, two part time jobs and did my own work on the side to create a cash flow.  At the time I was a slouch, over weight and lazy but I decided to change that and I'm no superman!  Quite frankly, if I can do it, any able body person can do it as well and probably alot better!

As for Dave Ramsey...he's got a pretty good scam going!  First, he lays a guilt trip on people by insinuating debt or the use of credit is sinful, which it isn't!  Then he tells these people without debt you can give more money to the church.  He then SELLS these "financial seminars" to churches.  They eat it up because they see the "you can give more money to the church" angle and Good Ole Christian Dave with his mouth and attitude problem makes millions and millions!  If John Gotti was still alive he would have changed Ramsey's name to "Ramsio" and made him a card carrying member!  And oh yes, when you do business with Ramsey's "Endorsed Local Providers", guess who gets a piece of the action!

 

 

Robert do you work for Chase???  This is the second comment I have read where you are defending these ruthless, unprofessional, harassing pieces of crap. JP Morgan Chase is the Worst Bank we have ever dealt with. My husband and I have had many car loans with Bank Of America, Ford Motor Credit, leased with GMAC over the years and never had a problem. Then we obtained a loan with Chase, which our car dealership suggested. Doing business with them was one of the biggest mistakes we have ever made. They repossesed our car after being 30 days late. None of the other banks would have ever done that (we were  late two times with BofA) or called us to make us feel we didn't deserve to have a loan. They are the worst!!!! and I will spend the rest of my life telling people my story. Soon I will go to the newspaper, so that more people will know. If I can prevent 1, 2 or 3 people doing business with them, then, what happened to us will not have been in vain. What goes around comes around. One day the tables will be turned and these same people that have done harm to others will have their day. And that includes the same for Jamie Dimon, CEO at Chase, who continues to allow this to take place. He is up there with all the other Crooks who prey on the innocent middle class families. Just another greedy banker like the old JP. By the way, I know banks are there to make money, but Chase Auto Finance are thieves.

 

 

 

Anyone who suggests the borrower pay their bills on time, works for the lender, right?  Being "a little late" is not in violation of your contract, right?  Remember that contract, Elizabeth?  In it YOU agreed to pay each payment on time, everytime.  I guess you just don't have the integrity to live up to your word and when they start to call, its all their fault!

Jim, You are out numbered here!!! Not many will agree with you. These are different times we live in. You oviously don't know my personal life. We have always paid our bills on time with the exception of a couple of car payments. That does not merit for Chase to have these low paying scum bags on the other line to call and harass people in a very unprofessional manner. All Those who work at Chase Auto Finance in Arizona are just pure evil. As far as being a looser, well you must be talking about yourself. You are also ignorant on top of that. You refuse to recognize that CHASE IS GREEDY, THEY ARE UNWILLING TO WORK WITH CONSUMERS, THEY ARE RUTHLESS, RUDE!UNPROFESSIONAL, THEY MAKE ME WANT TO VOMIT. I AM PART OF A MOMS CLUB OF OUR COMMUNITY AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS BANK. Jim you can say all you want to defend them, but the American Public aren't stupid. Chase was Bailed out using tax payers money but they don't give a damm about the people. You are right on target.  Chase will hound you merciless.  They are arrogant and they will not listen to you.  They can care less about you and will not work with you.  Chase claimed that I was behind 9 months on my mortgage payments.  I have paid receipts and cancelled checks from Chase, but do you think they will listen to you?  Hell no!!  It wasn't until I wrote to my congressman that I received a call from Chase Executive Secretary.  She listened, I sent her copies of my receipts!  Many of them were cashiers checks.  Guess what?  They owe me money!!  How did that happen? I kept getting threatning calls until I told the Executive Secretary about it yesterday.  I didn't get any threatning calls today.  Is it possible that maybe I was right all along?

Chase is maybe two or three steps above an organized crime outfit. I feel that strongly about how badly they rob thier customers, there's no putting a pretty spin on it.

I've recently closed my Chase account after they swindled over $300 from me in excessive fees. The trick they used was to withhold part of my payroll check- the same checks I've deposited for years in thier bank, and then claim I was overdrawn. Then for the time my account was supposedly 'overdrawn' they charged me a $35.00 fee until the charged racked up to $300. They explained the hold on the check, but never would give an actual reason why it was placed. They also addmitted fault and refunded two of the excessive charges, but said they couldn't refund the entire amount.

Basically, they found a tidy little loophole to steal $300 from me- I may as well have handed my ATM card to a theif and given him the pin.

I'm keeping my money as far away from Chase as I possibly can. I doesn't surprise me this bunch of theives also took federal bailout money.

I too have an on-going problem with JP Morgan Chase.  My payments are due on the 11th.  I have an either 7 or 10 day grace period.  Regardless, the "collection" calls start the very first day I am late, despite me still being within the grace period. The calls start around 8am and usually are every hour, sometimes every 2 hrs.  When I answer, it's usually an automated call, telling me to call them.  They call my house and harass me, then tell me to call them?  Seriously?

When I finally do talk to a human, they demand payment right then and there.  (And they wonder why ppl don't answer the phone when they call!)  When I tell them I'm only a day late and tell them the date I can pay, usually they tell me it's too far out and someone will have to call me back closer to the day I can actually pay.  Then they say they can't (lie) stop the calls and the calls will continue.  I guess they think if they harass you enough, you will go temporarily insane, rob a bank and come up with the money, just to pay them! 

I am a responsible person who has come upon hard times.  Period.  I have never been seriously late on a payment.  The latest I was ever late was 3 weeks.  One time. You naysayers who want to put down those of us who are struggling don't have a clue.  Some of us are late on payments, and it's OK.  We are not scum and no one has any right to judge us.  You can say it wouldn't bother you, so how bout try a little experiment?  Just go ONE day late on your Chase payment.  Just ONE.  Let them call you 10 times that first day, and get back with the rest of us and let us know how that works out for you!  I've NEVER had such a terrible experience with a bank.  As soon as I can refi I am and Chase can kiss my big, fat behind.

I am happy to report I reported Chase today to the FTC; I strongly encourage anyone else who is continually harassed by them to do the same.  There is strength in number folks.  I am also reporting them to the BBB and my attorney general.  I have mailed them (certified and with a return receipt) a cease and desist letter.  I kinda hope they call me again, so I can sue the pants off of the scumballs at Chase. 

This South whatever is a typical example of subprime thinking.  Because the lender begins the collection process because YOU don't pay your bills on time...its all their fault , isn't it?  What a crock of sh--!!!

A "grace" period DOES NOT change the due date.  A "grace period" means the lender is gracious enough to not charge a late fee even though YOU failed to make the payment on time.

You can complain to the FTC, AG, the scam called the BBB all you want.  Why not include the Senate, Congress, FCC, FBI, SEC, NTSB, USGA, DOT and Obama while you're at it.  People at all those entities deserve a good laugh! 

Some of you deadbeats are enough to make the rest of us throw up because of your amazing lack of integrity.  Come up with any excuse to blame the lender because they began collections efforts because YOU didn't live up to your end of the deal.

I realize I may have talked over your head.  If so, just go out and get the average fifth grader to explain this to you...YOU turn on the collections efforts when YOU fail to make YOUR payment on time whether or not there is a grace period.  Now stand by, this might be just a bit difficult to understand...if you don't want them to call you, then make YOUR payments on time.

act in this manner. I understand, you sign the loan, but life has weird turns

Chase charges higher rates for deadbeats and should give some slack.

I had a Chase loan for three months and went to a credit union to get rid of the

offshore reply call center to find out about the loan balances. Now we have a former
