I have continued to receive phone calls from Chrysler hounding about a late payment. I understand that Financial Institutions hear all kinds of excuses and pay no attention to them. Their agenda is to “get the money”. What baffles me is why a prestigeous automotive company would spend so much money promoting their product to make you a customer, then hire these “assasins” to go out and mortally wound the customer because one of the 60 payments was 15 days late. Maybe everyone that misses a payment isn’t part of a conspiracy to drive Crysler in bankruptcy. Maybe they just forgot. My monthly statement has imprinted across the top, “WE APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS”.

My first car was a 1941 Chrysler Windsor, two tone green. I bought a 1979 Chrylser New Yorker while working at Courtesy Chrysler in Fresno as a salesman. I know how hard it was to sell those big cars in the late 70’s but I bought one. I have owned five Chryslers and will continue to be a Chrysler customer if I receive an apology from Chrysler Financial for the “you are a dead beat and we are going to hound you until we get your money” attitude.

I have documented the number of phone calls that have transpired since this payment was missed. The fact is a double payment was mailed on 1/7/03 from the North Fresno Post Office. I took it there after work because I did not have a stamp and had to buy one, put it on the payment and drop it in the mail slot for out going mail. This was before their last pickup to go to the Main Post Office where it would be processed and leave Fresno that night. Even if the mail runs slow, it should be in your possession in 4-5 days. It is the inefficiency of some financial institutions to drag their feet on posting payments because late fees are a million dollar business in of theirselves. Chrylser Financial must really need the money to call me 2-4 times a day so I would assume someone will process the payment quickly so the computers can do their work and take my money and make it theirs.

With the exception of overlooking the December payment because of the Christmas busy season (I worked Christmas Day and New Years Day), I have co-operated and complied . I even combined the December payment with the January payment so it would be early. My reward for this was for Katey Russel to be insulting and rude with my wife, telling her that it was our fault we were receiving the phone calls because we did not make our payment on time. It is my belief that people can become jaded when they deal with negativity day in and day out. I don’t know what the training emphasis is on the people that call to tell you your payment has not been received, but until proven other-wise we should be treated like a customer. I am not the enemy but if the phone calls continue, I will become one. Please do not discount what I am saying. I will trade my Chrysler in on a Honda in a minute and share my expirience with anyone who will listen.

I have had financial problems in the past and have over-come them. I do not have financial problems at the present and do note anticipate ever having them again. My next vehilce will be a Dodge Ram truck unless your Financial people screw it up.
