Chrysler Financial WRONG ADDRESS FOR PAYOFF ON CHRYSLER FINANCIAL WEBSITE... THEY TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKE. DETROIT Michigan

I contacted Chrysler Financial after getting calls that the payment was late. I informed them that the vehicle was traded off a week ago and that the car dealer sent the check to the address in Detroit that was on the web page giving the payoff amt. The website clearly states to send the payoff to Chrysler Financial in Detroit, MI. The representative told me that it was sent to the wrong address and told me to send it to an address in Louisville, KY.

The check from the dealer is floating in limboland due to their error and they are telling me that we are all human and we all make mistakes. However the dealer should send the money western union so that they get it asap and to cancel the payment as it will be sent back. So now not only am I worried about a late payment history on my account but also the dealer is supposed to incurr the cost of stop payment and expediting the funds to the correct address.

They say they won't report it to the credit bureau but if it does get reported they will take it off. That is a very unsatisfactory answer. Oh, and by the way the web page is still posting the wrong address for the payoff to be sent to. I was told that this is a difficult thing and that it would take lawyers to remove the address from the web page! Chrylser Financial has very condescending and rude supervisors at their corporate office. Do you think they could send a courrier for the payment due to their mistake? I was informed that we are all human. Not happening.... Sad business management there at Chrysler and even poorer customer service.
