So my husband and I found a dealership in Lancaster County, PA that deals with Credit Acceptance as their financing company. Our credit isn't very good and everywhere else was requiring an insane amount of money down.

We found a car there that we liked, did all the paper work etc. and a few days later we had a new car and we should have been thrilled right? Little did I know that we were about to become royally screwed by this company.

Less than a month after we got the car, the brakes went out. Completely!! Thankfully my 4 year old daughter was not in the vehicle when it happened. No one was injured. So we took the car back and they insisited on fixing it themselves with nothing to pay. A few weeks later we got a bill for $98 and some odd cents for the brakes. I've disputed it and eventually ended up not having to pay but somehow it managed to make it into collections and now is sitting on my credit.

Then to make things even better, About 6 months after the vehicle was financed my husband ended up with horrible stomach pains, cramps, etc. Three months of this went on and the doctors could not find anything wrong. He missed a lot of work due it and eventually lost his job. A few days later I received a letter in the mail stating that we owed roughly $680 or the vehicle would be repossed. I called in and spoke with a guy, He stated if I paid at least one months payment (225.30) that would take the car out of the repo status and we'd be fine, just to make the remainder of the payment as soon as we possibly could. So I scrambled to borrow the money from relatives, went to Money Gram and sent payment...Called back to confirm the reference/confrimation number. I thought things would be ok and that Friday when I got paid, I would pay the remaining amount. WRONG!!!! That night at 1:30AM I awoke to a lot of noise outside of my house. A police officer, repo man and my husband were outside. They came to take the car for non-payment. In the morning I called CACC and they said that payment had not yet been posted to my account and they apologized for the mistake however there was nothing they could do about it. I spoke with the redemption department and because it was their mistake since payment was made only the remaining 450-ish had to be paid to get the car back. So that Friday I paid the rest and then found out that I still had to pay $675 more for repo fees, etc. I am still stuck in this with them and everyday I hope and pray that someone smashes into my car - of course without me in it so I can be done with it.

They have serious issues posting payments to accounts. I haven't missed a payment or been late in over a year and for some reason it always states that I'm 30 days late.

THEY ARE A RIP OFF STAY AWAY!!!!

FORGOT TO MENTION THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION

AUTHOR: Nunya business - don't want the crooks finding me - Lancaster (U.S.A.)

After the car had been reposessed. I've had major issues with it since. Car won't start a lot of the time unless it is jumped, exhuast totally jacked making rattling noises. The drivers side key hole was pushed in and there was a tear in my drivers side seat. But of course because I didn't make my two payments on time, I'm the scum bag not them.
