Here is an update on my situation! Needless to say they SCREWED ME TOTALLY! I called and called Mel Clayton Finance Dept and left well over 100 messages for Thom Wagner and Jeff McCray about the temp tags being expired on my car. I never got a call back. I quit driving the Ford that I was attempting to purchase because of that reason. They never called me back. Last month they filed an auto theft report on me!!!!! What the hell????? I was out of state in NY visiting family when an investigator called my home and left a message. I called him back immediately and he said that he was not worried about it and he had not filed the report because he gets tons of these from Mel Clayton! Anyhow they came and picked up my new car and the investigator told me to call him when I got back into town. I got back a week later and he told me to contact ford about my trade in. I called ford and left several messages. I called the finance company of my trade in and she told me that it had been repo'd!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I was totally stupid to ever trust anyone in that place when I bought that car. Now I am sitting with no job, no car, and a repo on my credit report! I have tried calling for almost everyday since March when I signed my last contract with them. I signed 9 contracts with them over a 5 month period and now I am sitting here with my life at a halt all because they suck and have no customer service skills at all!!!!!!!! And during this time I was advised by ford financing that they were making my trade in payments and not to worry about them because they were getting me financed!!! GUESS NOT! I have contacted the BBB and hopefully they can do something about this. I will keep all posted on what should be my continued success of giving Mel Clayton a HORRIBLE name! They should not be in business and from the sounds of it they should not even be allowed to employ anyone! I feel for those people! Oh yeah! And our sales rep who was awesome ended up quitting because he didn't get paid from all of the sales he had made! Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope everyone checks this site out before they go to Mel Clayton!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

why does Mel Clayton Ford go to court so often?

AUTHOR: Stick - Phoenix (U.S.A.)

I feel that Mel Clayton Ford is no stranger to going to court. Can't say who was right or wrong but they do go to court.

If you have bad credit expect problems.

AUTHOR: Alan - Phoenix (U.S.A.)

You bought a car traded in yours and the dealer could not obtain financing??? I am a ex dealer Employee in accounting. I can assure everyone out there that they want there money from the bank as fast as possible. Here is what really happened you bought a car they could not finance you because you do not pay your bills and have no stability. Ie your wife or girlfriend loosing her job. They got a qualified approval for something less. You screwed that up as well. Arizona state law states a trade will not be paid off untill the new loan is funded. That means paid you moron. I am tired of people making thins up as they go along. You then did not want to return the car which is normal because your old car sucks. So they had to report it and send in repo men. Listen pay your bills and you wont have this problem again.
