I bought my car in Savannah,GA. They made it sound like I was getting a good deal with the Diamond Advantage plan, with a ballon payment of 8,0000,of which I could trade it in, or sell it back with no strings attched.I finally paid my car up to the balloon payment,I was living in Colorado then(military),I called the finance department and MMCA, they evn set up the final inspection for me.The guy came, did the inspection, gave me the charges of what I would owe(which came out to about $1100 for wear and tear and not having stock tires on it).

I made the repairs, and my husband and I went to Subaru to buy him a carsince we were finally getting rid of the mitsubishi. We found the one we wanted, I called 3 times to mmca AND the Savannah finance department to make sure I was going through the process correctly, so they said once we buy the new car, to leave the Mitsubishi at that dealership, and they would pick it up.

We did just that. They never came to get it. I called AGAIN, andafter being transferred two or three times, an Indian woman said I cannot trade it in OR sell it back.My only option was to buy another Mitsubishi, or refinance. So, it is 3 years later, and we have 3 car payments and just barely getting by because Mitsubishi messed up.I still have the final inspection report, maybe there could be a lawsuit filed, but with all these xcar payments, there's no way we can afford an attorney.I hate Mitsubishi with a passion. If anyone has any ideas of what to do,please let me know!

I hope it works out for you

Mary, I was in the same boat as you but in Connecticut. When it was my turn to drop the car off, the dealership is supposed to give you a release stating mileage and that it was dropped off. I don't know why you was forced to keep it. I just dropped the car off and ask for the paper and walked right out eventhough they wanted me to buy another mitsubishi. I hope it works out for you
